Her musical theatre career began in Disney’s The Lion King, playing Young Nala in 2005, and she has since built a remarkable reputation across stage and screen. Jayme-Lee trained at the Victorian College of the Arts and completed a Diploma of Music Theatre at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance, honing the skills that have made her a standout performer in Australia’s theatre scene. She most recently appeared as Puck in The Lovers and Reno in Dusty The Musical – In Concert at QPAC, following an acclaimed run as Alline in Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, where she also understudied the title role. Her extensive credits include Bulda in Disney’s Frozen, Violet Beauregard in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and understudy for Nabalungi in The Book of Mormon. She has also starred in In The Heights and played Celie in the Australasian premiere of The Color Purple, earning a Green Room Award nomination. Layla Schillert

Layla Rose Schillert is a dynamic 20-year-old theatre performer, singer-songwriter and screen actress with a powerful presence well beyond her years. A graduate of The Hunter School of the Performing Arts, Layla has trained extensively with Screenwise Film & TV School and through the Artists Lab with Simone Sault and Paul Tabone, building a versatile foundation across stage and screen. With over a decade of acting and musical theatre training—including AMEB Classical and Musical Theatre certifications—Layla reached the Top 50 of Australian Idol 2023, showcasing her vocal strength and emotional range to a national audience. Her stage credits are both varied and international, including Alice in Cirque Alice at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, and QPAC, as well as roles in PUFFS and Jersey Boys. Layla has appeared as a featured vocalist in major concert productions such as Superstars – A Musical Celebration and The Musicals of the Night, and was a Featured Vocalist in Starstruck 2022 and 2023. She also originated the role of Mrs. Kangaroo on the Dot & The Kangaroo Jr. cast recording, and won a CONDA Award for her performance as Mayzie La Bird in Seussical—cementing her reputation as a bold, expressive and exciting young artist.

Javon King (he/him) is a Green Room Award–winning actor, singer and dancer working between New York City and Melbourne, celebrated for his powerhouse performances and magnetic stage presence. Most recently, he starred as Judasin the Australian tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, delivering a raw, commanding performance that further cemented his reputation as a leading man with edge and soul. His Australian theatre credits include Tristan/Young Man 6 in The Inheritance at fortyfivedownstairs, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at Chapel Off Chapel—a role that earned him the Green Room Award for Best Supporting Actor—and Seaweed J. Stubbs in the Hairspray Australian Tour, for which he received a Green Room Award nomination. Each role highlights his versatility across contemporary drama and classic musical theatre. Originally from the United States, Javon holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Rider University (New Jersey). His US credits include international and national tours as Angel Dumott Schunard in the 20th and 25th Anniversary Tours of RENT, along with Mereb in Aida and Henry/Jack understudy in Newsies. He also appeared in a commercial for “Hairspray Live!” in 2016. He is deeply grateful for the support of his family, friends and agencies in both the US and Australia. Originally from Brisbane, and shorter than he says he is, Axel is a graduate of the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts Music Theatre program. He appeared in Black Swan Theatre Company’s production of Oklahoma as ‘Will Parker’, for which he won the Performing Arts WA awards for best male performer and best newcomer. Axel then joined the cast of Michael Cassel’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the role of ‘Karl’, covering ‘Albus Potter’. Other performances include; ‘Leaf Coneybear’ in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Hayes Theatre, Ensemble and ‘Doody/Sonny’ cover in Grease for Crossroads Live, One Day In September for Perryman Theatre Company, Irene for Neglected Musicals, ‘Monster’ in The Recidivists for Red Line Productions, and multiple international tours with The Tap Pack. Kate Miller-Heidke is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and composer whose genre-defying work spans pop, folk, classical and musical theatre. She has released five top-ten studio albums, including O Vertigo!, Nightflight, and the double-platinum Curiouser, which produced hits like “The Last Day on Earth” and the award-winning “Caught in the Crowd.” Her 2020 album Child in Reverse debuted in the ARIA top ten and was reissued in 2022, further cementing her reputation as one of Australia’s most innovative musical voices. Trained at the Queensland Conservatorium, Kate has performed major operatic roles with the Metropolitan Opera (New York), English National Opera, and at the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Youth Orchestra is SYO’s most senior orchestra, led by a range of guest conductors each year. Established in 1973 by legendary conductor and educator Peter Seymour, it has been the training ground for Australia’s future professional musicians, and its alumni can be heard in every major orchestra in Australia. The Sydney Youth Orchestra provides outstanding and intensive training and performance activities that lead to the continued development of a musician’s technical and artistic excellence. Programs are broad ranging, including chamber music, orchestral music from the Classical, Romantic and Contemporary traditions, as well as new works by Australian composers. The Janice Breen Performance Studio is regarded as one of Sydney's best training centres for young dancers, singers and performers. Past students from JBPS have gone on to become outstanding performers in TV, film, advertising, commercial dance and major musical theatre productions. Established by one of Sydney's most experienced entertainment professionals, Janice Breen OAM (1939-2017), the Janice Breen Performance Studio first opened its doors in Hillsdale in 1964 before moving to Coogee where the studio continued to operate for more than 40 years. An accomplished performer herself, Janice’s teaching philosophy was based on energy, fun, encouragement, hard work ... and most importantly the joy of just being a kid! Janice was a firm believer that the confidence and discipline her students gained from performing would benefit them throughout their lives and she was always incredibly proud of the level of success her students attained in their chosen field, whether that be entertainment or otherwise. Sadly, our beloved Miss Jan passed away in 2017 but her incredible legacy continues. Now permanently based in Alexandria, the Janice Breen Performance Studio offers classes in jazz, tap, RAD classical ballet, lyrical, hip hop, singing and acrobatics from tiny tots to professional levels, delivered by a teaching staff who are both tertiary and professionally qualified. The Janice Breen Performance Studio caters for a range of levels of dedication and ability.
